A wide variety of financial aid programs makes it possible for even the neediest student to gain a college education. The amount of money available is based upon the student’s financial need, which is determined by subtracting the amount of the family’s resources available for college expenses from the estimated cost of attending the college. In order to meet a student’s financial need, the financial aid administrator may suggest a package of aid that includes a combination of a grant, 兼职工作, 还有贷款. Financial need for all programs–State, 联邦, and institutional–is measured by a comprehensive financial statement, the Free Application for 联邦 Student Aid (FAFSA).
Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid at least eight weeks before the beginning of the term in order that the funds will be available in the first month. Students will receive their 付款s within one month of the college’s receipt of the funds.
All new students should contact the financial aid office as soon as possible after admission. Application for all aid programs is made by filing a single document, the Free Application for 联邦 Student Aid (FAFSA).

Following are descriptions of all financial aid programs available to students at 岛起草 and Technical Institute who qualify. They are based on current statutes and regulations and are subject to change by the passage of new legislation or the issuance of new regulations.
Code of Conduct Regarding Lender Relationships and Loans
- 岛起草 & Technical Institute (IDTI) will not enter into any revenue-sharing arrangement with any lender.
- No officer or employee of IDTI who is employed in the 金融援助 Office or who otherwise has responsibilities with respect to education 贷款, or any IDTI agent who has responsibilities with respect to education 贷款, will solicit or accept any gift from a lender, 担保人, 或教育贷款服务商.
- An officer or employee who is employed in the 金融援助 Office of IDTI or who otherwise has responsibilities with respect to education 贷款, or an IDTI agent who has responsibilities with respect to education 贷款, shall not accept from any lender or affiliate of any lender any fee, 付款, or other financial benefit (including the opportunity to purchase stock) as compensation for any type of consulting arrangement or other contract to provide services to a lender or on behalf of a lender relating to education 贷款.
IDTI will not request or accept from any lender ay offer of funds to be used for private education 贷款, including funds for an opportunity pool loan to students in exchange for the institution providing concessions or promises regarding the lender with: (1) a specified number of 贷款 made, 被保险人, or guaranteed; (2) a specified loan volume of such 贷款; (3) a preferred lender arrangement for such 贷款. - IDTI will not request or accept from any lender any assistance with call center staffing or 金融援助 Office staffing.
Any employee who is employed in the 金融援助 Office of IDTI, or who otherwise has responsibilities with respect to education 贷款 or other student financial aid of IDTI, 他是顾问委员会的成员, will not accept anything of value from the vendor, except for reimbursement of reasonable expenses associated with participation.
